This chest is from Belgium, not sure of age but probably mid century or earlier. This chest is about 30 inches wide,143/4 inches deep and stands about 30 1/2 inches tall. I love the rope like carving on the top edge and the graceful decorative work on the doors and edges. I think this cabinet could be very versatile. I was at a loss as to what this item from my mother's estate really was until I ran across 2 of them on ebay.
